Join Us This SundayWe invite you to worship with us at East Side Lutheran Church. Worship is the unique and central thing that we do as Christians. In the act of worship we respond to God with our thanks and praise, we open ourselves to God to be filled in the sacraments, and we lay before God the cares of our hearts in prayer. Even more, worshipping with others is an opportunity to be present with our brothers and sisters in Christ and to support them on their faith journey; they respond in kind with their presence for us.
Worship Service with Children's Church
Types of Service
All who believe in Jesus Christ are welcome to receive Holy Communion at East Side Lutheran Church. We offer four worship opportunities each Sunday. While scripture reading, preaching, and the sacrament of Holy Communion are central in ALL our worship services, they do differ in style.
8:00 am - these services have a style with the full liturgy and hymns lead by our amazing pipe organ. Special music from our choirs (youth, adult, bells, instruments, etc.) is almost always present. This service is also taped and broadcast on KSOO Radio (1000 AM) at 11:00 am.
10:00 am - this service follows the Lutheran order with Children's Church. The words are more contemporary and the feeling is relaxed and connected. This service is for families with children. During the service the children are excused to go to Children's Church to learn more about the Sunday lessons and scriptures then rejoin their parent(s) in the sanctuary.
On the second Sunday of every month, A Service of Healing takes place at 10:30 am where Holy Communion is celebrated.
